A. C. Stickel, President

A.C. is President and co-founder of The Tax Shelter. A Penn State alum, Mr. Stickel had over a decade of tax, accounting and management experience before opening The Tax Shelter in 1999. A.C. is a past Pennsylvania board member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. From 2004 – 2016, A.C. served as the Controller for the City of Altoona where he worked relentlessly on earned income tax reform. He served as treasurer for the Blair County (PA) Tax Collection Committee from it’s inception through 2019. In 2016 Mr. Stickel was sworn in as the Blair County Controller. He serves as President of PSACC (Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers and President of PSAECO (Pennsylvania State Association of Elected County Officials).

A.C. lives in Altoona with his wife Peggy. They have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Bradley Sinclair, Vice President

While working on his Bachelor’s degree at Penn State, Bradley worked as an administrative assistant. Following college, he began preparing income taxes and handling payroll duties. Since January 2022, Bradley has been a partner in the company and serves as Vice President.

Bradley is married to Danielle Sinclair. They have one daughter Vivianna. Bradley remains committed expanding our business through maintaining our customer service values.

Wendy Dillen, E.A., Chief Tax Accountant

Wendy worked as an intern for The Tax Shelter while working toward an associate degree in accounting. Following her graduation in 2007, she went on to work for another accounting firm. Wendy returned to the Tax Shelter full time in 2016 she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Francis University, and become an “Enrolled Agent”. Wendy manages the Tax Shelter all year long and is here to address issues you may have.

Wendy is the mother of two children and resides in Bellwood. Wendy spends a lot of time in the off-season addressing issues clients might have. No matter how difficult the problem, she does so with a smile.
